The hotel's position was great and particularly good, close enough to Hontanas for 6 nights with a film crew. Local fast food option Frisco Popcorn Factory was 15 minutes walk away.

The owners, Laura and Luis, were incredibly kind and hardworking, making sure we had a comfortable and characterful accommodation. the property was spotless and in a great location on the Camino. We enjoyed a wonderful outdoor sitting area on the main street, where we could relax and socialize with fellow travelers. the highlight was the chance to wash and dry our clothes in the great outdoor area, a must for any Camino traveler. It was a privilege to spend time in this special spot and we are grateful for the hospitality of Luis and Laura. Cons: Nothing not to love! 😊.

For the price we paid, we got great value for our money. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable. We loved the location, right on the Camino, and the staff treated us incredibly well.
The only thing that could have made the morning meal better was if there had been a wider variety of options.

We had an amazing stay at a charming hotel conveniently located right on the Camino. The view from our room was breathtaking, as we could see the beautiful church across the street. The room itself was clean and nicely decorated, providing us with a comfortable and relaxing space. The bathroom was well-maintained, and we were pleased with the provided amenities. The friendly staff went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction, exemplifying true hospitality. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast and the lovely outdoor sitting area.
We did encounter a minor issue with the check-in process, as it was located at a different venue a few blocks away.

The rooms at Hotel Rural El Descanso are just perfect for a cozy retreat. They are air-conditioned, which is awesome during those hot summer days. Plus, the free WiFi is a great bonus for all my social media updates. Each room has its own private bathroom with all the necessary amenities. The flat-screen TV is a nice touch for a relaxing evening in bed. And let's not forget the wardrobe, which is super handy for keeping everything organized. As an adventure traveler, I really enjoyed the comfort and convenience of these rooms.
The only drawback for me was the lack of a mini-fridge in the room. But hey, that's just my personal preference.
